The 82nd anniversary Sturgis Rally runs August 05-14, 2022. When visiting the Sturgis Rally 2022 you will definitely want to go on some of the famous Sturgis Bike Rally rides. One of the most popular is the Mount Rushmore Loop Leaving Sturgis, this loop first takes you on a route south to Mount Rushmore and then through the hills to Wyoming. In Wyoming, you will visit Sundance and Beulah, home of the largest biker pig roast. Finish the day returning through the northern Black Hills to Sturgis.
You will also enjoy Devil’s Tower Loop. Leaving Sturgis, you will enjoy a nice ride through the northern hills into Wyoming. Once in Sundance, you take a small run north to Devils Tower. Returning, this loop takes you through the upper elevations of the Northern Black Hills through Lead, Deadwood and finally returning to Sturgis through Boulder Canyon.
The Needles and Crazy Horse Loop is another fantastic ride. Leaving Sturgis, you ride down the eastern part of the Black Hills enjoying the Needles Highway. You can also visit the Wind Cave National Park and then enjoy a cruise through Custer State Park. On the way be sure to stop by the famous Crazy Horse sculpture – still in progress!
The Spearfish Canyon Loop is always a favorite and it’s not far from downtown Sturgis. Leaving Sturgis, you’ll have a beautiful drive-up Boulder Canyon to Deadwood South Dakota. Once you leave the wild west, you embark on a journey through Lead headed for the Spearfish Canyon. Be sure to stop at the Spearfish Canyon Lodge in Savoy for lunch! Once you reach Spearfish, you’ll head north to Belle Fourche – home of the Black Hills Roundup Rodeo. Headed back to Sturgis, you’ll see the most pristine country in the northern hills surrounding St. Onge.
Bear Butte and Badlands motorcycle rally ride is a must. Leaving Sturgis, you’ll travel to Bear Butte, a spiritual retreat of the Native Americans. Next, you’ll move south through the Badlands National Park. You won’t be alone if you think you landed on another planet!
